Team Columbia
Based out of San Luis Obispo, CA, Team Columbia is a team of predominantly young riders. Of the 29 men and 13 women on the team, over half are aged 26 and under. The team had great success in the 2007 "Grand Tours" with current team members wearing the famed "Maglia Rosa" or Pink Jersey in the Giro d'Italia, the Yellow Jersey in the Tour de France, winning two Stages in the Vuelta a España, and three stages in the Tour of Germany. Overall, the Team achieved 35 UCI race wins which placed it in the top four in terms of race wins among ProTour teams last season. The Team Columbia Women also won over 30 races and ended their season ranked number one team in the world.
